15. Have you considered that maybe people in fandom don't want to hear that from you because there's more than enough sanctimony in the world without you explaining to them how "warped" they are? For god's sake, I'm a huge prude outside of fandom, and even I am so tired of people acting like they're better than others just because they're more vanilla or less interested in sex. I mean, it's great that you've managed to transcend your fleshly prison and devote yourself to the higher things, but how about just leaving us Neanderthals alone to wallow in our depravity? If you're a better person than anyone else, it sure as hell isn't because you think about sex less than them.

Oh, and +1 fail for "slut". Can we leave that word back in the 20th century, please?

Ever thought that some people are sick of being treated as less than others because they *aren't* as interested in sex (real or fictional)? And people (in fandom especially) acting like they're automatically better because they're into smut? Oh, you poor little childish virgin and OR vanilla het fan! I know my comment was pretty onesided, and I didn't mean to imply that it doesn't happen that way, too. I should have added that it's not cool to act superior because you like sex/smut, either, but the language of the original secret just really got to me. Sorry I didn't make that clear.
