I try to do the same thing. I have a friend who complains that I don't watch as many things he recommends for me as he watches things I recommended. But that's because I only recommend things that I think he'd like whereas he tries to get me to watch anything he likes whether it's something I'd like or not.

Ugh yeah, that happens to me, too.

Also, I admit that I get a little miffed when somebody asks me for a rec, and I write this whole well-thought-out thing and really consider what they want... and then they don't even bother checking it out.
Or when people want me to rec something, but refuse to tell me what they're looking for. I get frustrated, haha.
