I can see it in terms of the fact that Mr. Slave wanted to settle down and wasn't really about his old lifestyle anymore.

Yeah, I don't remember much from the show, but asides from sex stuff, wasn't Mr. Slave pretty chill and laid back most of the time?

Mr. Slave was pretty laid back, yes, and welcomed a LOT of abuse from Mr. Garrison.

I did find it interesting that Mr. Slave's last appearance was without Big Gay Al, though. I guess the latter wasn't needed for the plot, but it's worth noting.

It's possible. Then again, he made it pretty clear who and how he was, even as a kid.

Ha! I just saw that episode last night.

This being South Park I wouldn't be surprised in the logic behind pairing them up being "they where both gay and recurring characters so we paired them up".

But idealistically I'd like to think they compromised to try and make each other happy and try out and discover new things they both enjoy in and outside the bedroom.

Oh wow, sometimes I wonder if South Park is maybe worth watching again but looks like it's really really not.

If you get the humor, definitely. If not, well...

I watched it unil 2012 and didn't get around to picking it up after the season break for no reason to do with the show. And then every time I heard about new episodes it sounded less and less appealing. So either the show changed a lot in the last 5 years or my taste did.

It depends. I found the seasonal storyline this time to be brilliant as hell, and their portrayal of both Garrison and Caitlyn Jenner had me in stitches.

Could have done without PC Principal but I suppose this season wouldn't really have existed without it.

I can't tell if they'll be sticking with what they've been doing or if they will go back to what South Park "really" is.
