Making costumes.

Me and my friends are attending our first ever LARP in a week. I'm the best at sewing out of the four of us. Two of my friends are out of town and will be back just few days before the thing.I'm trying to finish my own costume, so I can help finish up theirs when they get back. I also need to sew one friend's costume completely, cos he's got work and school and is just not in a good place atm, and I don't know what else to do to help him. :/

Dang, that sucks. Are they at least paying for the materials? I hope the other two actually help when they get back!

Yeah, everyone's paying for their own stuff, it's just labor that's a bit unbalanced atm. One of two out-of-towners spent two evenings with me making costumes last week. She knows how to operate a sewing machine, so it was really a great help. There's only few things missing from her stuff, which is good. And she has told me she'll come to visit so she can finish it and help with stuff.

I have no idea about the other out-of-towner. She has her fabrics with her, and knows people who can sew, so I'm hoping she has at least started her costume with that help. But she is also the worst at letting people know. So I probably won't know until she is back. Also I have a fear she might severely underestimate how slow costume-making is. It's not a one night thing.

I'm just trying to make the most out of this weekend. Hopefully we'll get everything done.

Wow, this reply turned longer than expected. I guess I am more stressed out than I thought. :D

Hm, is the other out-of-towner a close friend? I don't think I'd want to help someone who is so irresponsible with time management.

She is. We've had this problem for a long while, cos I'm the kind of person who just needs to know in advance if things are happening, and she just... doesn't do the whole replying to people thing. I'm definitely not doing this again, and if she hasn't done anything on her own, we will have to have a talk. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt for the moment.

I'll try to contact the other out-of-towner tomorrow, since they're in the same town and she actually replies. Hopefully she can give me a situation update.
