When I was a kid we'd just spin a coin on the desk, then we'd get into spin coin fights and games like trying to fire your spinning coin into someone elses spinning coin or into a "goal" that someone else at the desk set up at the other end. Then it'd go wrong and someone would hurl the coin at someone's head, or the noise would get too distracting, and nobody was learning, so the school got permission from parents to permanently confiscate any and all coins that we had out outside the meal hall and shortly thereafter went to a prepaid mealcard for that. And then it got a lot easier to concentrate in class without getting distracted by noise and spinning stuff at each other. Seems like this is pretty much the same thing in a new form.

Spinning coin fight were brilliant. We;d make the goal out of our fingers though and someone would always end up with split and bleeding fingers.
