I don't love all the episodes. There are some very dull or stupid episodes. But I do love all the different season arcs. I haven't had a problem with any of them. I will say I didn't love the pairing of Eleven and Clara, the chemistry of her as his companion didn't work. But I still liked the season arc.

I didn't start liking Clara until 12 came along, but then she also was written completely differently with 12.

She was kind of written different, but to me that was just her paired with a completely different Doctor. People do act differently around different people. And because Eleven was confused about her, he didn't really spend the time to get to know her personality, so we didn't get to see much of it.

Well that was the exact problem with her in series 7, she was more of a plot point then a character so it was hard to get attached to her. Series 8 gave her more of a life.

Exactly! In series 7, she was a mystery to solve.

I really liked her in S8, though. She had two conflicting things that she wanted, and that gave her actual motivation to be there, instead of "oh well, I guess I'll just go with this guy because I don't have anything else going on rn."
