Re: Your favourite tv show or movie that no one but you watched

Huh. I've been interested in checking out Kings ever since I saw this fanvid:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a80luMJGZPg

I didn't know it was out on DVD though. I basically assumed it wasn't. Now that I know, I think I'll see if I can find it for sale anywhere (in a physical store, I mean), because I'd really like to check it out. Not sure where to look for it now that HMV's gone under though. I wish buying things online in Canada wasn't such an utter shitshow :(

That fanvid's cool.

I don't know why buying online is bad in Canada, but do you have the option of ship to store? Here, I can do that with Target and Walmart in the US so if I can't find it in the local store, they'll ship it there and I can go pick it up.

Buying online in Canada is a shitshow because you end up paying waaaay too much for things due to shipping costs, duty fees, and exchange rate adjustments in excess of what would be applied in stores. Buying online, I'd probably have to pay $45 for a DVD listed at, say, $20.

You can order things in to store here, but only if it's an item that the Canadian retailer carries in the first place, which, with something obscure like this, it may well not be.

Amazon Canada offers it!

https://www.amazon.ca/Kings-Complete-Ian-McShane/dp/B0024FAD88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495410431&sr=8-1&keywords=kings+dvd

I don't know exchange rates, but I think it's a bit much honestly. I paid $10 USD for it years ago. It's only 9 episodes, so best of luck finding it!
