Well, it's been my favorite show for over 20 years, so I'm a bit biased. I'd say that if you have access to it, try watching a little. People in the fandom are usually pretty happy to give a list of old-eps for a new watcher, or just start with the new series (from the beginning of the 2005 season). It's a slightly-cheesy, very British, family sci-fi show. The good guys win, the bad guys lose, and the special effects aren't very good, though they're better in the new series.

As for today's batch of secrets -- It's a show with a hero that goes around picking up ordinary people to travel with him. It does sort of invite self-insertion, and shipwars between people who ship him with various of his tagalongs.

Ah. Yeah, those were too separate thoughts. Sorry for the confusion. I understand what you're saying now, even if I don't agree.

My apologies -- the last week of American Idol, the Cook fans vs. Archuleta fans showed their true colors, and it was like a mini-war on some of the message boards. I didn't necessarily think you were a fan of Archuleta just because you're a hater of Cook, but I was just trying to make a point that there are much more annoying fans out there. I do understand that Cook fangirls can get carried away with their squee, but it's only to be expected. I think the way that other fanbases carried themselves was far more off-putting than a couple of over-excited LJ posts.

It's not to disregard your comment or start an argument in anyway, but I feel as a Cook fan, I've gotta defend my group a little bit. The fangirling we did is about a fraction of how some other fanbases, not even just Archuleta's, handled themselves.

lmao, I shouldn't have brought up the war that Cooks vs. Archuletas were having during the finale week. It was just kind of to make point. The Cook girls know how to get carried away, that's for sure. But when it came to really being bothersome to the people around them, the "Arch Angels" took the cake.

14. To me, Francis is way more scary. Because Hannibal? I behave around Hannibal, I get away with my life. Francis may kill me because the voices tell him to do so, and that is scary as hell.
