Spoilers for Bioware, Bastion

(Of course, Bioware as a studio went on to abuse the fuck out of that twist in almost every game franchise, including twice in Andromeda.)

The twist in Bastion that Rucks is telling the story to Zia forces a rethinking of the entire narrative.

I got to see Mononoke on the big screen, and Miyazaki is generally great at defying genre expectations.
