I'm sorry, anon. Do you have a friend or family member who can go with you to the vet? The last time I had to put a pet down (she was a chicken but I'm weird) I couldn't be in the room and asked the vet to wrap her up so I could bury her without looking at her. Grief is weird, but you'll be okay. Eventually. It might suck for awhile.
