The thing is that F!S isn't a large community. Even if they only submitted a secret about the fandom every couple of weeks--which is somewhat impractical when you have "a bunch"--people would notice and complain.

Yes, exactly. I space my submissions out so that I never submit more than one fandom per week, but like you said, the pool of people submit secrets isn't huge so it doesn't take many secrets on the same topic for people to notice. Most people don't mind even if it's not their cup of tea, but there are some anons (or maybe just one, I don't know) who get rude about it.
