Well, I don't say anything about Doctor Who because I don't watch the show. But it has been around for 50+ years, and it seems like maybe they have enough role models within the franchise for young boys to look up. But, it's okay. Let's continue to care more about whether boy's needs are being met than whether girls needs are being met.

Eastenders is already providing many strong female roles for young girls to idolise. Their needs are met, just with a different show.

Oooo mate. I was sympathetic to the shit you were getting here. I though "Hes phrasin this all really terribly and people are using the ambiguitiea in what hes saying to make him out to be a mispgynist" its a tactic ive seen and fucking hate, and i was even going to go to bat for you with ayrt trying to make it a "If your not willing to take away from boys it means you're against girls" argument - which is bullshit, BTW - but EastEnders? Really?

"Women, watch your soaps and let boys have scifi" I mean even if that's not what you were saying, co!paring EastEnders for girls to Doctor who for boys.... No-one fucks up that bad by accident.
