Okay, well, with that question you've now plunged me into a nether-world in which I am certain of nothing, but. It looks to me like the food being sold is the kind of sweet, flavored syrup you would put on pancakes or waffles, which I have never heard described as "boy syrup". I don't even know what boy syrup would be, except a euphemism for semen.

Semen? Seriously, ew, no.

Boy syrup is just what the name implies... boy syrup.

When I was in school, there were always a few boys who kept making trouble, getting suspended, and so on. After a few times, they'd be taken to a big room with these boilers. You'd boil them until all the flesh dissolved and came off the bones, then pull the bones out with a net, and what was left, was Boy Syrup. There were sweet versions, in all kinds of flavors. You could put it on waffles, pancakes, or ice cream.

Ehhhh. You took it too far and killed the magic. It was way funnier when you were just stringing people along that you knew of some mysterious product called "boy syrup" that wasn't semen.

Show, don't tell! Much more effective storytelling.

Nah. Because the only other answer to the insistence of "boy syrup" other than semen is "oh, so you're just sexist then. Good to know". And that's less fun.

I... don't follow your logic, to be honest. I don't think anyone would have made the jump from "not semen" to "sexism", I think it would have just been more in the vein of "THEN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT D:" which could have really been milked for a while.

Regardless, the sudden shift from being coy into blatant morbidity just wasn't very funny. I think you could have hinted at darker implications without just flat-out going for it, which would have been more entertaining.

I think what they're getting at is that "boy syrup" could mean syrup that's marketed as "for boys only!"

Mm, even if that is the case, I feel like most people here would find that a novelty. Might have spurred a conversation about hilariously gendered products, like MAN GRENADE BATH BLASTER (http://i.imgur.com/OABAdfj.jpg).

But then, perhaps I am a simple lady of simple pleasures.
