Awww, that's really sweet, Anon.

Thank you :) - OP

How unfamous is he that you don't think he gets plenty of fanmail? You know, round numbers - does he have a public social media account? How many followers?

I assume OP sent a letter through post to someone who had an agent, fan club or some address for fan letters. Might be a theatre actor who never ventured into films - sure they get lots of fans but it is more common to catch them at post-play events or write reviews or letters.

I have sent the letter to his theater's address listed on his profile on his theater's website. Yes, he is a theater actor. He's had some very minor parts in a couple of movies and a couple of guest appearances of TV shows, but he's generally very unknown, unless you're theater buff.

Hello, OP here. He doesn't have any social accounts, sadly, and if he has then they aren't public.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I love this secret, both the design and content! If it is a coincidence, it's an awesome one.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
It's certainly one of the most ridiculous coincidences that's ever happened to me. -op

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
this secret is both cute and fun.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Now this is a secret!

Honestly, OP, I'd probably have that same fleeting thought myself if I were you, and I couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the fantasy comment :D. It is a fun thing to think about, isn't it?

I hope he did get a chance to read your letter all those years ago, though :). And I'm glad that somebody you admire has done well for themselves, too.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
It is fun to think about :) It was also fun to watch him in the play and see his character react to the letter, made me wonder how he himself reacted to mine. If he even read it, that is. I hope he has. I've spent two months re-writing it before I got enough courage to sent it out. - OP

Ah, now I want to know the name of the play, not because I want to know who this is about, but because the plot summary sounds interesting! (I don't expect to be told though, don't worry). Also, this would make a great plot for a romance novel, wouldn't it? Or at least a fanfic.

This secret is so sweet, and with a beautiful color scheme as well! If the letter was anywhere near as thoughtful and lovely as this secret, I'm sure he loved it. Have a great day, OP!

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Hello, OP here, I'm happy you like the secret, thank you :D Yes, the plot is interesting, it thickens when he goes to look for the writer of the letter and finds her older, married sister instead who also falls in love with him. It's a lovely play/musical, I wish I could say what it was, but that would make it very obvious who the actor is, and I prefer to just keep it a bit of a mystery, it's more interesting that way :D

I hope you're right and he did like my letter...hopefully, the letter has reached him and he read it.

You have a great day, too, nonny <3

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks :) That does sound intriguing, here's hoping I stumble across it some day!

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw :)

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Really beautiful secret, anon. I hope he does think of you and your letter. Maybe he keeps it in a drawer somewhere. Maybe once this play is over, he'll try to find you, or at least give you a shout out on social media.

<3

At least the actor isn't a womanizer (I hope). What's the play, btw?

Regarding the name of the play, I'll echo the anon upthread-- the premise sounds interesting (it sounds like something I'd like ) but i don't expect an answer/feel no pressure to reveal!

:)

OP here. Thank you, I'm glad you like the secret <3 I do hope he still has my letter somewhere, it's a nice thought, anyway. I doubt he'll ever try to find me, as lovely as it may be to imagine it, I have no way of knowing if he ever actually read the letter or if it meant anything to him at all. He also doesn't have any social media accounts, as far as I'm aware of.

He seems like a very sweet guy, very modest and hard-working. Not a womanizer, and if he is, he certainly doesn't show it. I'd rather not say what the play is, it would make it very obvious who he was and I kinda think it's more interesting to keep it a secret :)

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, this is such a lovely secret. And what a coincidence! I mean, what are the odds?? I don't blame you for wondering if he remembered you and I bet he did. He may even still have the letter, who knows.
