Obviously it won't happen for extra-show reasons, so, yeah, sure. It'd be funny as hell if it happened, though.

LOL, wow, there are people who think that will happen? Come to think of it, that would be a great spoof for Comic Relief or something: Twelve disappearing, David Tennant's features taking form in his place, then *RECORD SCRATCH* and "Sorry guys, ain't gonna happen"

I mean, it's not a very funny sketch

I didn't have time to write up an entire sketch. Also I'm not a comedian, so...

Not in the fandom, but I really like the visual design of this secret.

Whatever happened to the silly tradition of saying that the next Doctor is going to be a woman?

People these days, really.

You weren't here two days ago, huh?

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a rhetorical question, really.

The British press love messing around with that idea, and they also sometimes bother people about whether the next Doctor will be ginger.

Didn't the anniversary special kind of imply that it might, in fact, actually work that way (i.e. regenerating back into previous appearances)? I agree though, there's no chance in hell of this particular case. And even if it did happen, why do we assume he'd also return to the same personality and not just the same appearance... (I mean yeah, the Curator did seem a lot like Four, but let's be honest, that could just as well be because a lot of what Four was like was basically Tom Baker playing himself)

(now I'm imagining a Thirteen who does look like Tennant but inherits Twelve's Scottish accent, haha)

(he's also still not ginger and it's really starting to get on his nerves... Though I also like the idea that Twelve would have been ginger if his apparent age was lower just because the universe wants to spite him. I mean, ginger humans don't go grey, but who knows how that works for Gallifreyans...)

I also remember that being implied but it is doubtful on it happening as it would be like reverting James Bond. It is more likely for Doctor to regenerate while not changing appearance.
