I completely respect that, and I know I said I wouldn't yell at you.

At the same time, I just want to make sure that you're aware that basically no one thinks that S1 of TNG is good, and most people think S2 is still well below the level of the rest of the series. TBH I think a lot of people who really love TNG would still agree with those descriptions of S1 and S2.

I love Next Gen but it's definitely one of those things that takes a long time to get good. S1 is mostly awful, S2 is a very mixed bag, it becomes much better later on.

This is true. I love TNG, but the first few seasons were a bit rough and the show needed time to grow into its characters and stories.
