Anyone in particular? Were they "gems" as in good/fun people or "gems" as in "brought wank and/or good material" to the comm?

I'm sure the names will come flooding back, but recently people like LBLee, and Elaminator.

Mostly I mean good people but I won't lie, Noodley did make me laugh.

Noodles wasn't so bad. There was a point where he seemed surprised I didn't hate him, but then I'm sometimes surprised that I don't get called sjw more often.

Well, depending on how much you believe about what Chard-onnay has said, he might actually be inhumanly bad... But he still made me laugh in spite of it.

Yeah I was thinking more about his trolly tendencies.

Like, idk how it mght have played out over the long term if he hadn't responded to my thread way back then, but what he said helped me get away from Hannibelle Lecter and then keep going.

It's fucking awful, what Chard said he was really like. But then, she was a real piece of work herself, at least online, so idk what to believe. I just miss both Noodles and Chard. :(

My ex. I don't really want to get into it. Long story short she did all kinds of crazy shit like stealing my meds, gaslighting, sleep deprivation, violence, every kind of threat and manipulation tactic... It was bad.

Late reply, but I just wanted to say that it's entirely possible for Noodly to be a right scumbag in an IRL relationship and for him to give genuinely heartfelt, good advice to you. People are complicated. I guess I'm trying to say that you shouldn't let what Chard said about him take away from your positive experience, and equally you shouldn't necessarily let that experience make you question Chard's side of things.

He might well have understood SoldatSasha's awful ex, because he was an awful not-yet-ex. Like, he could see that what "Hannabelle" was doing to SoldatSasha was similar to what he was doing to Chard, and maybe he was perfectly willing to give good advice to victims of nasty boyfriends/girlfriends, as long as he was able to keep using those tactics on his own girlfriend.

For the record, not at all what I was implying.

I know, I'm not trying to say I think Chard was lying just because Noodles was nice to me. Just that Chard was really an asshole to a lot of people herself over the years, and everyone is always the hero of their own story.

It's not like anything she said was outside of the realm of possibility, and I had my own bad experiences so I know just how horrible people can be to one person even as they're nice to another.

I'm actually kinda glad lblee is gone. I thought their role play style of posting didn't do their case any favours and their constant self-advertising was pretty annoying.

Oh, mate, I so disagree. I thought they were a sweetheart. Whatever else was going on - and I'm guessing we have a different read in on that as well, but that's fine - we need more sweethearts here.

To be honest, I actually think it's good they're gone for their sake as well. They got some pretty nasty shit, which even if I did find them annoying and their behaviour questionable at times, I don't think was warranted at all.

Yeah, I get that. Its sad, tho. Trouble with sweethearts is that they're so much easier to hurt than shitheads like me. People seen that and go on the attack.

Yeah, same. I didn't know whether to take them seriously or not, and the self-advertising was just... ugh, like go do that somewhere else.
