I'm of the opinion that every single person who reads Jezebel, regardless of which side they are on are looking for something to be angry about.

Being angry can feel good, tho, so I don't know how big feel about it.

I would say like 95% of the people who comment on Jezebel fit this description. I would say 99% of the people who comment on ONTD also fit this description.

I think it is also very true of people who comment on more conservative, traditionalist, right-leaning sites, but I stay so far away from those sites that I can't really venture a guess at the percentages.

Yeah, I think the extremes of both sides are only ever really interested in things that feed the extremism. They either go somewhere to hear opinions that validate themselves or they go to places that validate their feelings of their opponents.

Totally guilty of that in the past. Nowadays I'm getting Lola from both sides. Makes me feel more balanced. But at the same time I now run the risk of falling into the "Everyone but me is an idiot" trap.

Its why I think this whole laci green carnage is potentially a very good thing. Not just for the lols from both sides but it could very well chill out a lot of people.

Ok, I just tried to google search this and I'm getting nothing. Well, it looks like she was thinking about leaving youtube a couple of months ago, and responses to that were very predictably mixed. But the fact that some people hate Laci Green has never been news. So I'm really not sure what you were referring to in your comment.

Ok, I'm guessing that some people on the left took extreme umbrage at her "Taking The Red Pill?" video. I haven't really been following Laci's videos for a year or two now, and mainly followed her Sex Plus channel before, so I hadn't seen that one. But if that is the "carnage" you're referring to, then I think I get what you're saying.

Personally, I tend to agree with the vast majority of what Laci says, but I have also always been aware that, as with anyone who is extremely passionate about thought/theory-based subjects, Laci stands a very real risk of becoming increasingly radicalized over time. So I'm really glad to see her "Taking The Red Pill?" video, which shows that she is still capable of taking a step back and approaching things from a slightly different angle.

If people on the left are coming for her because of that video, that definitely does show an inability on their part to consider, and accept as valid, anything short of angry radicalism.

People are always coming for laci green, but in this case its carnage she has caused by daring to say she wants to be more open to discussions with non/anti feminist's.
