Been catching up on the latest season of AoS, the one with the virtual reality in it.

I have to ask, why does Scottish character Fitz's Evil and Misogynist dad have a Northern Irish Belfast accent instead of Fitz's West Glasgow accent? Did they ever give a reason for that?

Accents weren't specifically mentioned, but you could handwave it to say that Fitz didn't grow up with him IRL and AIDA stuck with the most familiar thing to ease the transition into the framework or one of them actively cultivates a different accent based on how they want to be perceived.

Sort of like Giles' changing accent in Band Candy on Buffy.

....can I go with Occam's razor and suggest that the show creators didn't figure most of their audience would actually notice or care that there was a difference?
