They were brought up as brothers and it's not like Loki was 'adopted' when he was a juvenile...he essentially grew up with Thor as his only brother (no matter who he's actually related to by blood). I'd count it as incest, personally.

Yes, that's why I specified pre-knowledge. I would count it then, too, but only because they would think of it as incest.

I don't know, maybe it's a language thing. In my language, the word is only used when there's a biological relation, not a social one.

Interesting! I see it like ayrt, and for some reason it never even occurred to me to view Loki/Thor as an incest-ship. Might need to ask around on my dwircle, or make a poll about it to see what others are thinking. *g*
