I think they flew off about the ID thing because it's such a popular scam that preys on the disabled community?

You basically said "Why didn't you tell grandma to let the guy over the phone access her computer to fix Windows?" when you MEANT that grandma had called actual tech support at her volunteer position and just didn't want to let the IT personnel do it themselves.

But everyone heard the "Hello, I am calling from the Windows company, there are many viruses on your Windows computer. Please give me your credit card number." scam.
