Christine was an amazing film, one of the best that I saw in 2016.

It's in my Netflix queue!

Oh man, I knew the story, but I hadn't heard there was a movie. If it's that emotionally affecting, I may have to work up the nerve to watch it.

Two movies.
Christine and Kate Plays Christine, which is a "documentary" about an actress prepairing for the role of Christine Chubbuck for a movie that was never made.

I haven't seen the later, but the former is amazing.

I should search for this film but I don't think I could stomach watching it.

I've been curious to see this film, but yeah, I don't doubt it'd be very tough to watch. What a sad story.

I'm with you OP. Rebecca Hall was amazing in it. It helps that I don't know who she is, so all I saw was Christine the person, who seemed so enjoyable, even if she was a little awkward. The movie made me want to be her friend.

Rebecca Hall is great! I first saw her in Parade's End, and I'm reeeeally not a fan of period drama, but she made me absolutely fall in love with her character. She's got a lot of range. (It's just a shame she keeps getting cast in subpar things...)

I haven't seen this yet, but it's absolutely on my list. Glad to hear it's good!

Damn, I read the summary of that film and it's so much like my life it's scary.

No friends. Never had a boyfriend. Been on like one date. Virgin. Very career driven. Lonely. Think about suicide a lot. Heck, her wikipedia article even mentions she considered her mother and brother her best friends.

Funny.

I really want to see this film, but I know it will be a tough watch, and I haven't found anyone who wants to watch it with me.

I haven't been able to work up the nerve to watch that.
