I think one of the common arguments against loli/shota I've seen is that it can be used to groom children but like... isn't any sort of porn used for that? If the argument is against comics or animation making it easier then you have to ban hentai with adult characters as well. None of that would stop disturbed adults from finding a way to groom children though.

Personally I'm less bothered by drawings that look nothing like reality then seeing porn that actually hurts real people.

yeah, that's how i see it. pedophiles have never needed lolishota to groom children. the thing about sick fucks is they will always find a way. there will always be something they can use.

I can't speak for all children, but if someone had tried to use loli/shota (or any other kind of hentai) to groom me and shit I would have rolled my eyes so hard that it hurt and said "Uh, no. That's a cartoon. Cartoons aren't real. If you do what people do in cartoons you'll wind up dead or in jail or something. Everyone with a brain knows that."

So I really have a hard time believing that hentai would work for child grooming at all, let alone that it would work better than actual porn of any kind.

But that's probably just me.

One of the arguments anti-porn people make is that how sexual abusers will almost always also watch porn. I think Elizabeth Smart has come forward about the fact her kidnapper used to regularly watch regular porn before he'd abuse her?

But most reasonable adults understand that banning something harmless and/or enjoyable for the vast majority of the population just because a few bad people might enjoy it too is ridiculous. Copycat murders are a thing, should we ban all news coverage of murders? What about other crimes just in case?
