Got a new, long haired cat last Saturday. This morning, she horked up the biggest hairball I've ever seen. It was a quick cleanup, but pretty gross. As for not-fun, my mom's in hospice care and her memory's not great, so she keeps asking when she can come home. She hasn't been home since February. Aside from maybe visiting (and she hasn't gotten out of bed in a week, so...) the answer is either "never" or "when I win the lotto." Trying not to upset her but also not lie or offer false hope is the fucking worst. I feel like shit about it, and I don't feel nearly as bad as she does. :-(
