Are we now banned from speculating on who writes what secret? We've had plenty of "which user do you think wrote x" threads in the past, are these speculations now banned?

No, unless

A) the comments are constant over a long period of time
B) the comments are consistently mocking the person in question
C) the comments are consistently by the same (group of) people who have been asked to stop

Yours was all three, so in that instance, yes. (Though looking back on it, meeting 2 out of 3 would do it just as well.)

Well... yes, I suppose it applies to people doing the same thing to anons, but I have never seen anyone go "I know, this secret is by anon! How pathetic!" so it's a weird hypothetical situation. Nor has any anon asked me to make people stop asking whether or not it is in fact "anon" that made this secret.

If you're anon, nobody else can tell which exact anon you are, so no, they can't be specifically targeting you, specifically targeting you repeatedly, or following you around/bringing you up where you haven't posted. They have no idea who you are.

Please link me examples of where people have singled you out and harassed you specifically, knowing it was you and not "any random anon they disagree with/reacted negatively to," if you're going to make that claim.

(And if you're trying to make that claim for someone else, how do you know who they are all the time?)

Edit: and no, saying "that one anon that said that one thing one time is stupid" doesn't count as singling you out and targeting an anon. It counts as targeting "whoever said the thing," which could be any of a dozen anons. Again, they have no idea who you are and anyone could have posted that.

No, its fine. We're doing special rules for special people, I just wanted you to be up front about your hypocrisy. I bet there is a thread within a week doing the which user did which secret and you'll be fine with it, and I bet there will be a thread attacking me again and you'll be fine with that too. Just be up front about your hypocrisy on it, stop trying to squirrel out from underneath it. Or you can admit you overreacted and jumped the gun listening to the tattletalers. Up to you, its all on you how you react. Hypocrite or kneejerker, those are your choices on this.

Its fine with you.

Of course, it might help if you turn on IP logging for all users and not just anons. You might find something under that rock, if you care to look.

Eh, I've said all I had to say about this, really. It's pretty clear cut to me.

If you ever give me something to substantiate your claims of being continually harassed (as yourself, not "any random anon who could be anyone who said a thing"), I will act upon them.

Not an official one - and I'm not actually sure, I thought I saw someone talking about starting one of their own but I don't know if they did. Or I could be remembering totally wrong!
