Just thought "Hey, I cant be the only selfish dude here" and if I'm right, it might help people be more motivated. and if I'm wrong, then everyone knows I only participate in the book club to have my choices and tastes validated, and, what, they're gonna think worse of me?

I mean, there are of course good reasons not to participate like yours, but then there are also the lazy self indulgent ones like mine.
