Re: Theory about the book clubs low participation

I'm open to reading just about anything, so that's not a problem for me.

My stupid reason for not participating more often is this really weird anxiety I get over official-feeling discussions. I never feel like I have enough to say for it to be worth it, and everything I want to say feels either vapid or pretentious. I know that's not true, but I only have so much energy available for fighting my ridiculous brain.

It probably won't help in your situation, but every input is helpful in the discussions, I think. Even my usually negative complaints tend to inspire further comments, even if no one agrees with me.

I don't get anxious about it, but I feel like I have nothing to say that's worthy of being said too. I feel slightly better about replying to people, but most of the time I end up going 'Yeah, nobody cares about THAT' and leave it.

...It's probably half laziness too, to be honest.

Thanks. I appreciate that.

What's June's book? Maybe I'll try to participate this time.

Joust by Mercedes Lackey. :)

If you're up for it we'd love to have you! Don't feel pressured, though.

But seriously, feel pressured. Highly pressured. Like we're gonna off a kitten if you don't contribute level of pressured.
