I never thought that there was any doubt that the MCs were going back to Pegasus to finish off the Wraith there. Whether or not they took the city with them again, which they could because they knew how to do that superduper ultra speed drive now, was up in the air but not a vital thing for me.

And for the politics, well Richard Woolsey actually liked the politics part, so having him deal with that would be giving that character something exciting and enjoyable for him to do. I'd love to see him wrangling Atlantis back to Pegasus and having John and co be slightly bemused with it all happening, in a sort of they understand there is a battle happening but it doesn't involve shooting or tech-teching way that they usually deal with.

They are characters at equilibrium, but with potential still to explore.
