I really thought it was going to be, but the hardest part turned out to be NOT losing my place on the chart, since it was also my first time following a charted pattern.

It terrified me going in, too! Now I'm still just terrified of lace shawls etc because they all seem to be charted patterns and I can't seem to find any that are for beginners where they actually go step by step and it's not like, "One, two, three, cake!"
