By all accounts Cats Does Countdown is more popular with the audience, it is no surprise that the network wants more of it. It sells better too, since it is not as tied to specific events.

Of course, making a Cats Does Countdown election special is tying it to a specific event...

It'll still have the numbers and the letters games, and comedy based around them. Unlike the regular show which is 100% what happened this week or this month. It is themed but not tied. That gives it better longevity.
