Re: Dietary supplements

I take a women's multi-vitamin and also a gummy supplement meant for pregnant ladies that is fiber and calcium - I'm not pregnant, I just sometimes have a hard time getting enough fiber to poop nicely. I figure between those two, I'm covered for whatever I might not be getting from food (although I try to get what I need from food).

May I ask what the name of the gummy supplement is? My sister has problems with constipation and I want to see if she would want to give this a try.

It's actually just a generic thing from Target:

I find it over by the prenatal vitamins, not in the fiber section. There's also a brand named Vitafusion that makes these, too, but I've never tried those.

There are just plain fiber gummies without the calcium, both Target brand and name brand like Nature Made and Vitafusion. Those I find over by the fiber stuff (where they also have powdered supplements and things like granola bars and cookies. You can also get Fiber One granola bars and cereal - look in the regular cereal and granola bar aisles at the grocery store.

Thank you so much!

If it's not diet issues (which should be addressed first), wouldn't regular fiber supplements work?

She does take regular fiber supplements and they haven't worked so well. And it's not diet issues (she's got a good diet); the constipation is a medication side-effect. I wanted to see if a different sort of supplement might help her.
