Jack is going to bring Cas back before the first episode is over. I mean, he's apparently God-powerful (don't get me started on how that makes no sense, but whatever) and he CHOSE Cas while he was still in the womb. So, the second he finds out that his chosen caretaker is dead... yeah. He's going to be the way they bring him back.

Random side tangent, I basically feel like I know how the entire next season is going to go:

Sam and Dean seek to rescue Mommy Winchester from the Alternate Reality. Jack's powers allow him to open tears into Alternate Realities, but since the first one was an accident he doesn't know which one she's in. As such, the entire season will be the gang randomly visiting (and probably getting stuff in) other realities (this is definitely how we're getting that Scooby-Doo crossover) until finally, during the season finally, they find the correct one and have to battle Lucifer, again, in order to save Mary.

Nah, the show writers wouldn't actually be so creative and daring as to spend an entire season in alternate realities.

They'll no doubt get Mary and Cas back in the first three episodes and then spend the rest of the season with MOTW episodes until a random new Big Bad pops out of nowhere.

I would watch *your* version of season 13 enthusiastically!

I would happily take a whole season of honest-to-Chuck MotW episodes, rather than this past season's treating Sam and Dean like the B story to the Angel/Demon/BMoL plots. There were several episodes where (the Hellhound one is particular) where it felt like the writers remembered "oh yeah, this is supposed to have Winchesters in it, too" at the last minute.

It's been done before - Sliders, Quantum Leap, etc.
