Yup, and the manga is even further behind the show. It would be nice to have your version of the Uub-storyline, but apparently Toriyama likes the whole "Goku is an alien who has little concept of a family and doesn't really care about their feelings as long as they're unharmed while he can have a good fight with a really strong guy."
