I once read a series called Scorpion Shards. Love interest B sacrifices her soul to save the world, and dead love interest A gets revived in her body. Love interest A decides to take on B's name and identity and live out her life as B, and she says she'll never speak A's name again. I had no idea how I was supposed to respond to this.
