They said "discharge". I suspect they don't mean blood but other types of fluid that your vagina tends to generate. Some people do it in greater or lesser quantities (and obviously it also depends on where you are in your cycle).

Huh. I didn't know that bothered people. Like, your clothes are going in the wash, who cares. Then again, I rarely even bother with underwear unless I'm wearing a dress.

I'm like anon - I get a thick, clear discharge when I ovulate. I wear pantyshields so it's not a big deal in that regard but it would be uncomfortable without them. And

it makes it a bit of a pain to clean up on the toilet - it's rather slimy.

Well, it's not really a "Oh gosh, small stain on my panties" concern, it's more like a "Aw shit, my panties are soaked with a viscous fluid the consistency of egg whites and I just took a shower an hour ago". I know I can wash it later and it'll be fine. That doesn't mean walking around all day with stinky, sopping wet underwear is a trivial matter.

You're not alone. I also didn't know this was A Thing until just now. I guess now I understand why so many women are so intense about only ever wearing panties for one day before washing them. I've always wondered what the big deal is. Mine always look as smell clean at the end of day one.
