The irony with the Tumblr discourse on what's considered problematic – in this case supporting underage ships or sexualizing underage characters – is when it comes coupled with threats and harassment of real people. Fictional kids don't need protection. Folks who harass creators and other fans over crap like this are a hundred times more embarrassing to me than any anime porn you can dig up.

I mean, you're allowed to find it off-putting without starting a damn crusade.

A lot of shippers are minors as well, so the way some people try to justify their hate campaigns, harassment, bullying and downright abuse of actual real teens with the "protection" of fictional teens is just plain mind-bendingly dumb.
