A++ picture choice, OP!

That being said, I sort of agree and sort of disagree with the sentiment. I generally only want to read about my favourite character, so I seek out fic written about that character for any given series. By definition, I'm guessing that at least some of the people are writing those stories because that character is also their favourite.

But while I tend to seek out specific-character-centric fic, I *hate* it when authors write other characters in a series poorly - both in terms of being OOC and in making them look bad - in order to build up what is obviously the writer's own favourite character.
