That's me, but with romances. Unless a story is a love story, there's a 90% chance I'll utterly hate whatever romantic subplot the protag has going on.

I have the same problem. Especially because so many romantic subplots seem like an afterthought thrown in there to pad out the story. I often get the impression that they don't care about the actual chemistry or whether or not it makes sense for the character, they're just tossing it in there in hopes of snagging a few more viewers who like romances in everything.
