This is the attitude that I never understand no matter how much I try.

All you care about when watching a movie is finding out what happens? You don't enjoy the dialogue and the music and actually seeing the events play out rather than just knowing the bare facts of them?

I understand liking the movie better when you don't know these things going in (sort of, anyway) but this idea that there's no point in seeing it at all if you already know is just baffling to me.

This. I really only think a movie is good if I can enjoy it more than once. And my favorites I'll watch a hundred times and still love them every time. Spoilers for me actually helps me pick out things and also helps me relax and enjoy the movie in all its glorious detail.

This is exactly how I am.

This.
If you think a trailer, "spoiled and ruined the whole movie" then you probably weren't going to enjoy the movie in the first place.
I remember when trailers for Brave were coming out, and the entire community here kept throwing hissy fits because, "The previews show the mom turning into a bear, Disney just spoiled its entire movie so I'm not going to go and see it!!" Like...don't you want to see how and why the mom turns into a bear? Don't you want to see how Merida saves her mom?
Lol but nope, Disney showed a plot point in one of their trailers so now the whole movie is ruined apparently.

And after all the fuss it turned out the mom didn't turn into a bear at all, that was just something they cooked up for the marketing campaign.

Sh, nobody tell the "Brave" refusniks. I've just reignited their sense of wonder for the movie. They've not watched it, they won't know.
