Don't you get frustrated when people use "who" correctly and then decide they must be wrong and incorrectly change it to "whom"?

Yes, it's worse to over-correct, somehow. They sound like they're consciously trying to sound educated and failing.

Same with all the people who use the "John and I" construction 100% of the time, even when it's perfectly fine to say "me and John."

"He told John and I to go die in a fire" should be (properly), "He told John and me to go die in a fire," but there's nothing grammatically wrong with saying, "He told me and John..."

That one drives me nuts, too. All you have to do is eliminate the "John and" from the sentence. If it doesn't make sense, then don't use "I." Gah.
