That's not fair. I'm on the other side of the globe too, and I've always managed to nominate something, because the rec posts are always open over several days. It doesn't matter when you post your comment, since diet_poison is a named user, she will receive a comment no matter when it's posted.

As far as I remember, we've never had a recs post that was posted and immediately closed again within a single day/night.

This one came close, it was open for two nights with 2nd night only having one open space in it. However I think that it should be dialled down to one rec per person. Two recs per person seems a little much, and encourages people to rec stuff they know cannot win and contribute to the same-books-each-month problem. I feel one rec per person, and that will let people like AYRT to get in and also encourage people to space their recs out a bit more so that it is a different mix each month.

Not quite true - it was three nights, with the third night having only one open space.

One rec per person might also be a good idea.
