I leave to pick up a Uhaul in 16 hours. I'm not even ready. I didn't want my last night here to come in the form of dozing an hour or two here and there on the couch, but it might.

So my baby chick shipment showed up a week ago yesterday. Well, actually they arrived at the post office at 11:20 pm and spent the night there. When I got there Wednesday morning one was dead, and one didn't make it past her second day. Now I'm down to 14 chicks.

Some have pasty butt issues and I don't know who's having less fun soaking their little butts in warm water and cleaning them up to make sure they don't die of constipation, them or me. But they're at least doing okay otherwise. One, though, hasn't grown since her first day, and is still flopping around like she just dried out after hatching. She'll eat and drink and crap if I hold her near food and water, but she spends all her time under the heater instead of running around, and she's the same size as the only bantam who survived. I know some birds pull through this, but I'm worried. It's like having a parrot or crow chick in with the rest of them. I've ordered fancy supplements that people who raise show birds use for the first time ever. I hope they help.

I ordered a lot of hairdyes online and got message that the package was delivered in my mailbox. Except there was no package when I checked. So now I have a bill for 1500SEK and no package.

How did you pay, because I would just cancel the payment and cite nondelivery as the reason. Let paypal or your credit card company fight it out.

I chose invoice and that one was sent by email the same day as the supposed delivery. I have contacted all parties and now it's a waiting game, I guess.

I've had that happen to me before. I informed the seller and called the local post office and they couldn't find my package. It randomly arrived four days later.

I didn't sleep more than 3 hours last night. I had two big mugs of coffee this morning. It helped for a few hours and I got studying done. Then I got jittery. Between that and the heat, I'm in the middle of an anxiety attack (thankfully seem to be on the outer edge of it, but still). I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now. I know it is the lack of sleep and that I can actually do all of this. But still that's how I'm feeling right now. And I'm behind on studying. Ugh.

Also, make sure you keep hydrated! Especially with caffeine and stuff!

I had my first pap test today and it seriously hurt like a bitch. Like, I'd rather get my wisdom teeth taken out again and deal with the swelling and pain than get another pap test. My doctor was very kind and gentle and apologized profusely for causing me pain, but I kinda feel like a baby because all my friends said their first pap tests were just embarrassing and uncomfortable, not anywhere near painful enough to make them cry.

It can be painful for some people; I don't find them excruciating but they do hurt me too. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Don't feel like a baby, though, every body is different. I am glad you have an understanding doc, tho!

I had so much trouble with my exam that my doctor was basically like, "well from what I can feel with my fingers, nothing feels out of place. You said you're not sexually active? Okay, we'll leave it at that. Come back if that changes."

Because like, seriously. They used the tiniest speculum on me and just. Ow.
