I mean, I liked Dekaranger as a show (I enjoyed the character dynamics and the visuals), and it was the sentai airing when I was juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust starting to learn Japanese, so all of the repetitive narration was actually really helpful for me in that extremely specific situation. (Jasmine wa ESPer de aru...) For that reason, I have a bit of a soft spot for it. It also ended on more or less of a high note, WRT a satisfying resolution for the characters, which was nice.

And yeah, it's that popular. Like Hurricanger, it got a Ten Years After movie. They're also doing the crossover with Gavan and the pre-Gavan short film that's essentially an Ontological Mystery Groundhog Day type horror film (I wish I were making that up). The franchise is never going to let these people go. Oh, and they did a guest spot on this year's series. Um. I'm sure there's more. (They have NOT dragged the cast back for any of the Super Hero Taisen films. I think. Maybe. I'm like, 80% sure.)
