Jesus Christ, this. This show had always been my go-to thing to watch when I need to be cheered up, but after the Trump debacle some episodes are downright painful. The whole Bobby Newport saga and the Leslie recall story line specially.

My sister had been bugging me to watch Parks and Rec for months and I ended up watching the first episode, like, the day after the election and I just could not do it. I ended up turning it off halfway through, not because it was bad or not funny, but because it reminded me too much of the election for me to enjoy it. :(
