Does the Brexit vote followed by a general election count? How much cash have we all pissed down the drain by both Dave and Terri trying to solve internal party political tensions by holding elections, and both failing? Maybe her successor will do us a favour and attempt to settle the badger cull issue by holding a referendum, but only polling actual badgers?

Just about every fancy wedding I've ever been to. All that expense and the food is still mostly meh.

the fucknuts who run my city decided to spend millions of dollars to put up a giant fucking hideous eyesore monument that literally no one wanted and serves no practical purpose. meanwhile, homeless people are starving in the streets and our infrastructure is falling apart.

I used to know someone who collected really expensive porcelain figurines. They were living off disability and could barely afford to feed themselves or their flea-bitten dogs and every winter they struggled to pay their bills so their power didn't get turned off... but they owned hundreds of dollars worth of those figurines and bought more off Ebay every month.

I was bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding, planned and financed by her parents, who are kind of government bigwigs. It reportedly cost a hundred thousand dollars, and had the feel of a state banquet.
