(Anonymous) 2008-05-31 12:40 am (UTC)(link)1. Manipulated the other characters while aiming for the Chief of Staff position.
2. Suspended or fired various doctors when they acted against his orders.
3. Tried to woo Elizabeth with the sleaziest pick-up lines heard this side of "Coyote Ugly".
But he also:
1. Helped Lucy by performing an experimental procedure on her patient.
2. Had one of the most touching scenes in the whole show when she died.
3. Almost lost it when operating on his dog.
I'm dreading those upcoming episodes...why do shows always kill off the most interesting characters?

I know he wasn't one of my favorites (the manipulation and general asshole behavior? Not so great), but I felt bad for him in the later episodes. I remember seeing glimpses of Rocket here and there in the show that suggested he had the potential to become a better person, but the writers ... never got into it, for one reason or another. I mean, sure, some characters are always assholes, but I was disappointed with how they killed him off. It felt cheap. :\
