God I'm not even reading Bleach, I just know the characters, and it made me tear up so bad seeing this secret WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED THERE. DDDD:

115. Killed to death makes me lol, but... so what if that IS why people like it? For one thing, changing one of the character's genders WOULD make it a completely different story. It would probably change the entire thing. Not a BAD idea, if someone wanted to do an AU, but do you really think Josh would have punched Metis at the very beginning if he'd been a girl? ... or hell, what if Josh had been a girl? =DDDDD DO WANT, SUDDENLY.

In summary, you might be right that nine out of ten people would stop reading. You might be wrong. That doesn't change the fact that even if it has a huge fanbase because of a shallow-ish reason, it is STILL a reason, it is a VALID reason, and some of us are in it for the art style (which I really like, it's kind of quirky while still being clean and attractive!), the storyline (cute, yes, but also funny as heck in some parts, and some bits did tug at my heartstrings a little). And given that the "BOYS KISSING!!!! OMG YAOIZ" didn't even actually happen until chapter five (out of a current six), that might not have been all of the original draw anyway (I would have been fine if it had stayed gen, but I like it like this too, lots).

121. Hahaha, I don't even think of KYOKO LOOKS LIKE NANA. Just because. Kyoko looks WAY TOO MUCH LIKE TSUNA. Girl!Tsuna would look like Kyoko. THAT MAKES ME LAUGH MORE THAN ANYTHING. (I do like Tsuna/Kyoko, but I'm also rooting for Tsuna/Haru- and yandere!Kyoko, lulz.)

125. "Maes" or "Hughes"? =D Both would be okay, even Hughes (or Hugh) as a first name, but Maes is such a cute name.

I don't recall seeing any actual "wank" so I despair at the possibility that you're actually interpreting people saying why that OP's logic failed as "OMG THEY DISAGREE WITH ME LOL THEY'RE JUST DUMB WANKERS LOOK AT THEM ARGUING." But then, there might have been actual wank that I didn't look for. IDK AND I DON'T CARE. What is happening here is pretty much this: Aizen Sousuke, big bad poobah of Bleach, has been manipulating his way up the ranks of Soul Society for well over a century. He's found people he has "befriended" and put in high positions of power, and that there happens to be his vicecaptain, Momo Hinamori who pretty much loves him more than life itself. So what he does is that he enacts his masterplan, fakes his own death (he has awesome godmodding illusion powers so there's a bloody mangled corpse and everything), sets her against her own friends by implicating that they were the ones behind the murder, gets her put in prison and then she breaks out, providing a distraction and then, when she happens upon her captain alive and well he... well. I need to actually read the series, I know too damn much that happens in it and am a little too emotionally invested in crap I have hardly looked into. I have no excuse. XD;

Oh no, Momo is safe and... well, very much NOT sound, but at least safe at the moment. The most recent chapters DOES however have him backstabbing all kinds of new people, for it is a flashback arc! Pretty interesting stuff. And yes, I actually recommend reading it! Sure, it's big, flashy superpopular Shonen Jump series with all that entails, but I think it's good entertainment! It suffers from it's own size on occasion, but with a ton of fights who were pretty dull to watch chapter by chapter now being over and done with, I think it'll read a lot easier now.

Yeah, my big thing about Bleach is "... it's already HOW LONG?!" But since I started Reborn when it was 120+ chapters in, I guess I don't really have an excuse. XD; It sounds really interesting to me and I love a lot of the characters just by hearsay and from seeing fics/RPs/etc around online. I think I'm going to need to pick up that and D.Gray-man soon ♥

... Also I love that man and those last two icons. JUST SAYIN'. :|bb

Oh yes, being a fan of the Shonen Jump style of manga is truly a chore sometimes what with huuuueeeeg canons and tons of castmembers and SO MUCH STUFF TO KEEP IN MIND. I can understand people being reluctant to get onboard a train that long and with that much history and keeping to canons with smaller casts and runtime. But as for me, well. I worship and idolize One Piece. When I see a manga that has 120 chapters up, my reaction is: Just a hundred and twenty?

And yes, I do agree about the characters being one of Bleaches big drawing points! One of the things I like about Bleach is how rarely Kubo falls into a common "huge cast" trap, where a lot of people become faceless goons simply fulfilling a role in teh story. And even when he does, he often tries to make them as entertaining archetypes as he can. Case in point, two of the longest fights in the Hueco Mundo arc, Szayel and Noitra. Szayel is like every single mad doctor stereotype turned up to eleven. He's going to live beautiful and young forever and giggles like a coy girl and kills people with underhanded tricks and concocts tons of weird shit. Noitra is the "I live only for combat" taken to it's logical extreme, he's a misogynist bastard who uses every mean available to win in a fight, backstabbing, ganging up on people, taking hostages, and it's all killing for killings sake. They are villains that when they bite it, you really feel "FUCK YEAH WOOHOO" and like finding some random person on the street and highfiving them. Sure, they're nothing we haven't seen before in some fashion, but they do their job well, and with a comic like this aimed at young kids, that's pretty much as good as we can expect, you know?

Ahhhh, just general fucked-upped-ness of the pairing itself, in that canon? In that case, I retract my statement. XD; In the context of my own canons I've had "oh god help me ♥" moments too.
