Oh ho ho did you get Kenji to level 10? XP

Yeah, My social links with the girls were all way lower than those with the guys because I didn't date Yuko and/or Chihiro earlier in the game and had a whole slew of girls to try and level up at once. ><;;

No kidding. And while it seems plausible for say Yukari to fall for the main character, the Mitsuru link kinda makes me go O.o???

This is where plot mechanics and dating sim conventions kind of blur together. I agree that a relationship between Yukari and the main character is more plausible than one between Mitsuru and the main character, but dating sims are about tailoring your experience to one girl as you go (and then unlocking the harem route later on). My thing is that if you want to date Mitsuru, you should be able to - but you should have to do more to nurture that particular relationship/romance throughout the whole life of the game than max out your Academics, ace finals and give her nice gifts (at the same time, it seems like you don't have to work NEARLY as hard to get ANY of the other girls to like you. What's up with that?)

I would have been fine with a Yukari/Minato-only romance in the plot. I think it would have forced Minato out of his silent, passive role in the game, if only a little bit. That may just be because the "hero who never speaks" convention isn't working for me anymore, though.
