I'm not feeling well this evening, so please make your own wank about Firefly and the fact it was shit.

(Anonymous) 2017-06-18 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Firefly is an almost perfect show. Its only negative is that it ended.

(Anonymous) 2017-06-19 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
It's a racist fucking mess. Amazing how "perfect" means Asian cultural influence without any Asians to you.

Also you know, Whedon's foot and rape fetishes.

Nathan Fillion continually finding ways to mention how salty he is that Firefly was canceled has long since gone past embarrassing and landed firmly in "pathetic" territory.

It was a genre show. It got canceled. Get over it, dude.

Fellow Hemlock Grove fan here, I feel you!

(In my mind the series took a whole other turn after the first episode of the third season, and that headcanon hasn't ended yet. My version is both slashier and more optimistic.)

(Anonymous) 2017-06-19 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
I wish to subscribe to your alternate version! I wanted to see Peter and Roman team up so badly. It didn't even have to be slash, just a bffs and solving mysteries and getting their baby back would've been plenty.

(Anonymous) 2017-06-18 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Having just wiki'd Hemlock Grove, I clearly need this in my life. The world needs more werewolf fiction, and I'm glad I'm not the only one supplying that need. :p

It is veeery far out there though, but if that works for you; hit it like a sledgehammer.

I really liked S4 of Sleepy Hollow. Yes, I missed Abbie, but the show moved on and I liked the direction it was taking. There was no place to discuss it in fandom though. *sighs*

I'll join you in missing "Sleepy Hollow". I wasn't surprised to see it get cancelled this year, no, but it was still sad nonetheless, 'cause I liked the characters, and the show started off on such an intriguing note. It's interesting to wonder what could've been had they not lost Abbie in the third season.

If it makes you feel better, Firefly doesn't really have a fandom anymore.

Doesn't Sleepy Hallow have a fandom? It seemed pretty popular judging by how often I saw people talking about it.

still not over pushing daisies :(

(Anonymous) 2017-06-18 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow, Marco Polo.

I agree with you there, OP. I didn't care for Marco himself, but most of the other characters were good to excellent. People who called it a 'budget rate" GoT missed the point. MP had far, far better written female characters, for one; and while it had violence and nudity, it rarely felt like it was being done gratuitously. (I still think the fight where she fought off the three soldiers was AMAZING.) Kublai, Chabi, Hundred Eyes ... so so good.

…gratuitously?

Same here. I thought Marco was... eh, fairly bland and not very interesting. The rest of the cast far outshone him on nearly every level, in characterization as well as acting ability. Hundred Eyes was my favorite, but Chabi was amazing, as was Mei Lin.

I'm someone who actually liked the second season of Hemlock Grove (even if the first one is definitely superior), but I really don't feel like watching season 3, cause I spoiled myself on the end cause no.
I know it's not coming back ever, but if it did and they fixed that shit (and put Roman and Peter together jfc), I would be all over that.

(Anonymous) 2017-06-19 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't finish season three for the same reasons. :( Still no idea why the show had to go off in such a bizarre direction.

(Anonymous) 2017-06-19 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Being Human (US) fan here. I feel your pain.

(Anonymous) 2017-06-19 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Saaaame omg

Still bitter it was cancelled, even more bitter that they refuse to release the final season on DVD

(Anonymous) 2017-06-19 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
They finally cancelled Sleepy Hollow? Good riddance.

I feel this way about Warehouse 13, Eureka, Defiance and Fringe.

I'm a HUGE Firefly fan and I would give up all 13 episodes and the movie forever if it meant I could have just one more season of these shows.

Forever bitter that Pushing Daisies ended so suddenly.
