I do actually have several distant acquaintances like that. And some things they all have in common: They are ALL massive yaoi fans, they all started identifying as ftm/nb/genderfluid shortly after getting a tumblr account, and they are "former" lesbians (or bi) who are now in a "gay" relationship with their former girlfriends-turned-trans(or nb)-boyfriends.
Hmmmm.

I knew someone like that. And then I read that thinking you're a lesbian is a pretty common and logical thing to have happen to you before you figure out that you actually are trans or NB. It happens to lots of people, why would they all happen to be faking the exact same thing instead of it actually being a developmental pattern? My god you what made YOU people so high and mighty you believe you know others better than they know themselves and believe that they have some sneaky lying reason for what they do?

Because they are all completely unwilling to take any steps towards transitioning and quite honestly? Being trans is fairly rare. It's simply a bit too much of a coincidence. So in these particular cases? It's mostly yaoi fangirls taking their fetish too far.
